How do I post a listing?+
Tap the floating + button at the bottom-right of any page. Choose Room, Job, Sell, Need, or Community Post. Fill in details and submit. New posts go into admin moderation and become live once approved (usually within a few hours).
Why is my listing not visible immediately?+
Every listing is manually reviewed before going public. This keeps the platform spam-free. You will receive a notification when it is approved or rejected.
How do I contact a seller / poster?+
Open the listing and tap "Chat in App" for instant messaging (recommended). For the phone number, tap "Phone Number Request bhejein". The owner must approve before the phone number is revealed to you.
Why must the owner approve my phone request?+
We protect privacy by default. Owners can choose who sees their contact details. You can always chat in-app even without phone access.
How do I mark an item as sold?+
Go to Menu → My Listings, find the sell item, and use the "Mark as Sold" option. Sold items disappear from public listings.
My listing is about to expire. What can I do?+
Listings auto-expire after 20 days. You will get a notification 3 days before expiry. Tap Renew on the listing to extend it by another 20 days.
How do I report fake or spam content?+
Open the listing or post and tap the flag icon. Choose a reason (Fake/Spam, Inappropriate, Already Sold, etc.) and submit. Admin will review and take action.
Can I post for free?+
Yes — posting is completely free. We make money from display advertising (Google AdSense). We do not charge users to post or to contact each other.
How do I create a community group?+
Go to Groups tab → Naya group banayein. Choose a name, city, and topic. You can make the group public (anyone can join) or private (you approve join requests).
How do I install UKLocal as an app?+
Go to Menu → Install UKLocal app. On Android, tap Install. On iPhone, follow the Safari "Add to Home Screen" steps shown in the modal. No Play Store or App Store needed.
I forgot my password.+
Password reset is not automated yet. Please email admin@uklocal.in with your registered email — we will reset it manually.
How do I delete my account?+
Email admin@uklocal.in from your registered email address requesting account deletion. We will delete it within 7 days and confirm by email.
