Terms of Service

UKLocal (uklocal.in) is a hyperlocal classifieds and community platform serving Uttarakhand, India. We provide listings for rooms, jobs, items for sale, demand posts, and community groups. The service is provided free of charge to end users.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, please use the service with parental supervision. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements.

All new accounts require manual admin approval before they can post listings. This helps us reduce spam and fake accounts. Approval usually happens within 24 hours. We reserve the right to decline or suspend any account at our discretion.

When posting any listing (room, job, sell, need, or community post) you agree:

• The information you post is accurate and truthful.
• You have the right to publish the content (photos, text, etc.).
• You will not post duplicate, fake, spam, or misleading listings.
• You will not post illegal items, services, or content.
• You will not post anything that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence.
• You will not include malicious links, phishing attempts, or scams.
• Listings auto-expire after 20 days; you can renew if still valid.

Contact information (phone, WhatsApp) is gated through a contact-request flow. Each request must be manually approved by the listing owner. Before approval, you and the other party can chat through the in-app messaging system. UKLocal is not responsible for the content of user-to-user conversations.

Admins review listings, posts, and reports. We may remove or modify any content that violates these terms without prior notice. Reports filed against your content may result in suspension if found valid.

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant UKLocal a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform. The UKLocal brand, logo, and design belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. UKLocal does not guarantee the accuracy of any listing or the trustworthiness of any user. You are solely responsible for verifying information and completing transactions safely. UKLocal is not a party to any agreement between users.

We will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

UKLocal displays advertising via Google AdSense and other networks to keep the service free. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and opt-out options.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time by emailing admin@uklocal.in.

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
